Connecting tubes are used mainly to connect the Type 700 belts, but some clients use them for quick repairs of these belts, too.
To connect the Type 700 belts is very complicated and, sometimes, even physically demanding. This is because the belts have to be joined together with the help of another wire in the direction from the middle of the belt and, at the same time, the wire is made of a very hard spring steel, which makes it difficult to intertwine it with the wires of the belt. For this reason shorter parts of the connecting wire are used together with the connecting tubes, which makes the job much easier.
